Celebrate the 25th anniversary of Macao’s return to the motherland! Famous enterprises entered Kingdee to talk about new opportunities for development

Coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of Macao’s return to the motherland, representatives of several well-known enterprises and media representatives recently visited Kingdee Software (Macau) Co., Ltd. Twenty-five years of high spirits, twenty-five years of spring and autumn. In the 25 years since its return to the motherland, Macao has entered a period of fastest development, highest quality development, and the strongest sense of happiness in its history. With the support of the central government, Macao’s diversified development has been evident to all. In 2023, Macao’s gross domestic product (GDP) reached MOP379.48 billion, seven times that of 1997, and the per capita GDP was MOP55.9, with an average annual growth of 2.9%.

Wang Weiqi, General Manager of Kingdee Macau, shared at the event: First of all, one country, two systems is the advantage and direction, and maintaining resilient development is the way to survive. Secondly, in the past three years, Macao has improved the promotion of e–commerce, digitalization has flourished, and a large number of related investments and opportunities have poured in. Finally, digital transformation is the fundamental way out. “This is a brave man’s game, bow down to the game as a brave man.” Regarding how to deeply cultivate the Macau market, Wang Weiqi mentioned that it is necessary to pay attention to value management and keep up with the core changes in consumption; it is necessary to actively practice cross-border fields, conform to the tide of media digital development, and embrace digitalization; and to help the Bay Area to achieve growth breakthroughs.
