Kick-off|Kingdee & Cuckoo Launch ERP Project to Jointly Forge a New Blueprint for Digital Transformation
Recently, Kingdee International Software Group (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (“Kingdee Malaysia”) held an ERP project kick-off meeting with Cukcoo International (Mal) Berhad(”Cuckoo”), a well-known brand in Malaysia. Mr. Feng Liang (Aaron), General Manager of Kingdee Malaysia, Mr. Su Guoping (Keith), Senior Consultant, and Mr. Zhang Siyuan (Steven), Sales Director, attended the meeting. Together with the core project teams from both sides, they officially launched an in-depth digital transformation cooperation. Leveraging Kingdee’s robust system capabilities, this partnership will help Cuckoo build an end-to-end efficient business workflow.

Cuckoo is a premium home appliance brand originating from South Korea, founded in 1982. It is well-known for its high-pressure rice cookers and holds a leading market share in South Korea’s rice cooker sector. Since entering the Malaysian market, Cuckoo has quickly become synonymous with high-quality products, including alkaline water purifiers and modern smart home appliances.Guided by its innovative “Beyond Standards” philosophy, Cuckoo provides a wide range of products such as water purifiers, air purifiers, outdoor water filters, kitchen appliances, and premium sleep products. The company was listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia on June 24, 2025.
Addressing Operational Pain Points to Upgrade End-to-End Management
In its previous operations, Cuckoo faced certain challenges in system coordination and integration. The customized solution provided by Kingdee will fully cover supply chain management – including sales, inventory, procurement and lease management – as well as a complete set of financial modules, such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and cash management.
Empowering Cuckoo: Reengineering Business Processes and Industry Standards
Upon full implementation, the project will effectively improve Cuckoo’s management capabilities and operational efficiency in several key areas.
- It will break down data silos and achieve deep integration of business and finance, resolving the mismatch between sales orders and accounts receivable to ensure real-time alignment of capital flow and business flow.
- Strengthen the closed-loop risk control process. The system can process lease contracts with a monthly transaction volume of one million, while automatically monitoring overdue payments over six months and triggering message alerts. It also incorporates a blacklist mechanism, automatically restoring credit once customers complete their payments, effectively reducing the risk of bad debt.
- It will adopt widely accepted industry best practices to reduce over-reliance on manual and highly customized internal processes, improving overall data quality and cross-departmental collaboration.
- It will enable seamless system integration, gradually replacing partial functions of the legacy Oracle system while connecting Kingdee’s platform with major e-commerce channels including Shopee, Lazada and TikTok, as well as existing OMS and WMS systems to build a comprehensive omnichannel ecosystem.
